Teachers & Therapists

Just as no two fingerprints are alike, so no two people have the same arrangement of pathways that carry messages to, within, and from their brains. That is, each of us acquires slightly different neurodevelopmental patterns. Many children and adults who experience difficulties in learning, task performance or social interaction have neurodevelopmental differences that interfere with processing. An example of this would be if the systems that enable vision or the sense of one’s body position in space need to be supported, then reading, maths, general organisation and efficiency may suffer. Trauma may further complicate matters.

Offering varied tools of assessment from the HANDLE approach, we go beyond labels, to the root cause of the disordered behaviours and offer families effective, non-drug methods to promote efficient neurological functioning and learning.

I had learning challenges and severe anxiety and more labels than letters in my name.  Yet you believed in me and the girl bound to fail finished school, got her NVQs, a job and is now working towards a degree.  I am sincerely proud of who I have become…
